Advertiser disclosure: Cash Back Specialist may be paid when you open an account or sign up through some links on this page. That can affect which products we write about and where links appear, but not our ratings or what we say about a product. We don’t cover every card or offer on the market. Read our full disclosure.
Enter what you spend in a typical month. The calculator estimates a year of cash back on each card using the rates we verified on Oct 29, 2026, including annual caps and fees.
How the estimate works
- Rates come from each issuer’s site, checked Oct 29, 2026. Category definitions vary by issuer: Savor’s grocery rate excludes superstores like Walmart and Target, and the Blue Cash cards pay their grocery rate at U.S. supermarkets.
- Annual caps are applied: the Blue Cash Preferred’s 6% grocery rate and the Blue Cash Everyday’s 3% categories each stop at $6,000 a year, then earn 1%.
- “Year 2+” subtracts the Blue Cash Preferred’s $95 annual fee, which is $0 in year one.
- Dining on the Blue Cash cards and gas and online shopping on Savor are counted at 1%; Freedom Unlimited’s dining rate is 3%.
- Welcome bonuses, rotating categories, portal earnings and streaming or travel categories aren’t included.
